Anything Goes Relay Carnival Oct 16th in Warrenton VA

What does the event designator “Anything Goes” mean? Swim what ever you want to cover the distance of the event as long as you have more then one swimmer. Example: 1,000 Relay; 20 x 50 each swimmer can swim multiple times or you can have 10 swimmers. Maybe someone wants to swim a 100 IM followed by a 200 fly, and a 700 free. Let your imagination go free with numbers of swimmers order numbers of swims, as long as you swim a total of 1000 yards. Wear anything but your birthday suit. Charlie Tupitza led off swimming the 750meter butterfly, Shane Griffin road his bike in his first race ever, and Mike the Mailman delivered a fast run to win the 2011 Luray Triathlon Men’s Relay. Darren takes second place!

Steve did well in his prep race for the upcoming Culpepper Triathlon.
Charlie just did butterfly in 750m swim and skipped the rest.

My favorite place to swim a mile butterfly! Lake Mohonk.

The width is about 100 meters making it a great training place for open water swimming.

Miles and miles of running and biking trails make it ideal for triathlon training.

Located about 80 miles north of New York City.

Yes it is a bit pricey but save up and tri it out!

While you are there, take a crack at the record set in 1973 for a single crossing
and the record for the 16 laps of fly posted in the lifeguard phone booth.

If you are a 65 man, you will need to swim faster then 23.8 for the 50 free to win! If you are 86 you will have to go faster then 33! 1:54.14 for the 200 if you are 60+.
